In April we took a trip out to Arkansas with some friends to go watch the Solar Eclipse in totality. We were lucky enough to be able to stay on Bull Shoals Lake and we were able to get some really good shots of the eclipse. It was a 16 hour 1 way drive to get there, and it was worth the trip.

For those that may be interested I used a 1300mm Telephoto lens (100% manual focus) on a regular tripod (manual tracking) and a special solar filter to get the pictures of the eclipse. The black dots on the sun are sun spots
